Select the top plane, draw a circle of your required diameter, that is the base circle of your helical compression spring, based to this circle we will draw the helix curve in this solidworks modeling tutorial of helical compression springs.
You go to Insert-Curves-Helix/Spiral , from here we create helix curves in solidworks 2010/09, check the slide very carefully , slides are very important in solidworks modeling tutorials
In this step we are creating the helix specify the type of helix curves you want, then specify the height then the pitch or number of revolutions etc.
Then after the helix curve, specify a reference plane normal to the helix cure and set origin on it, after that draw the spring crossection on that plane, then go for the sweep operation by selecting sweep profile as the spring crossection and sweep path as the helix curve and you are done with your solidworks modeling tutorial of the helical compression spring
It is good to see posts that give truly quality information.I’m definitely going to look into it.Thanks for the encouraging words.I am really very impress with your article.

Don't wait for CAD projects to come to you, go to them.. . Use an outsourcing site where you can bid on CAD projects.. . There is some good information in this article http://www.cad-design-and-drafting-services.com/auto-cad-jobs.html.. . Good luck.
