Welcome to FreeCAD a completely opensource parametric 3D modeler. It is one of the best alternatives for the costly SolidWorks. It is much similar to soildworks modeling technique and if you know modeling in solidworks you can master it within hours. FreeCAD can run on windows and linux download for which ever suits you.
